BeReal is a photo-sharing application that prompts users at a random time each day to capture and share a photo within a two-minute timeframe. The app simultaneously uses the front and back cameras, creating a combined photo of the user and their surroundings. Users can view their friends' BeReals and react with RealMojis, as well as see photos from others globally via the Discovery feed. Primarily aimed at social connection, BeReal encourages authenticity by limiting editing and timing the photo capture, differentiating itself from traditional social media platforms focused on curated content.
