Bsure raises $2.1M to fix one of modern IT’s most overlooked problems

Norwegian startup Bsure has raised $2.1 million in seed funding to address the often-overlooked issue of identity management within Microsoft environments. This investment, led by Scale Capital, highlights the growing importance of robust cybersecurity measures for businesses operating in today's digital landscape, especially with the increasingly stringent EU regulations. The platform offers a solution to a widespread problem. Bsure's Azure-based platform integrates with Microsoft Entra ID to provide a real-time overview of user access rights. It flags inactive or risky accounts and helps reduce unnecessary license costs. This is critical because according to Microsoft's 2024 Digital Defense Report, over 90% of account compromise cases involve unmonitored accounts. The solution directly addresses the security and compliance needs of organizations across various sectors. EU rules such as NIS2 and the Digital Operational Resilience Act mandate the documentation and monitoring of digital access. Bsure currently serves over 200 customers across nine countries, and the new funding will help the company expand its team, accelerate international growth, and develop AI-driven features.
